As an English Teacher, I am extremely enthusiastic about creative writing and poetry. When I teach, my passion is helping students of all ages fall in love with using their voice, in English, to share precious slivers of themselves through writing. To support a student build a body of work that captures their life, interests, passions and new skills is very, very rewarding.
I love exploring the interests of my students, reading famous and less famous poems together, potentially going on outings for inspiration and collaboratively considering what to write. Alongside this comes relevant input around developing some of the more practical tools for success: vocabulary & spelling, punctuation and grammar.
